It’s that magical time of year when the air starts to cool, the leaves change into a rainbow of colors, and pumpkin spice everything rules the world. Yes, fall is here!
There are many ways to celebrate the season and a good old fashion football game is at the top of the list for many when it comes to fall fun. Cheering on your favorite team and enjoying a little pre-game tailgate party with friends and family, it doesn’t get much better than that!
Sometimes simple is best when it comes to a tailgate party. Who wants to fuss with cooking a gourmet meal and all that clean up before the big game? For our tailgate party food essentials we have stuck with the basics:
- Bratwursts with a condiment bar (in cute little mason jars!)
- Chips and dip
- Strawberries for desert
- Ice chest full of cold beverages
- Plates, napkins, cups and cutlery
Bring a portable BBQ along to cook up your brats and enjoy hot. We like to get fully cooked sausages whenever we tailgate to make cooking a snap.
Now that the food is covered it’s time to sit back and relax. A few seat cushions from the backyard patio furniture doubles as comfy seating in the truck bed and a basket full of blankets offers cozy wraps for those chilly fall days.
Need a little more excitement pre-game? Spark up a little friendly competition and pass the football around the parking lot to get the blood pumping.
It’s always a good idea to bring along a blue tooth speaker to jam some party tunes when tailgating. Create your own playlist or have everyone take turns playing their favorites from their own phones.
When it’s game time, don’t forget to bring your blanket to use as a seat cushion on bleacher seats or keep you warm during the game.
